About Us

Whatsherface was created in 2018 to offer personalised gifts.  We are happy this year to offer a larger choice of ribbon and foil colours to extend our range further.

You as the customer gets to say what you want on your ribbon and labels, all we offer here is a little advice on the best layout and whether the ribbon and foil are the best match for your requirement.

When you place an order it will not be printed and sent out ad-hock.  You will be offered a mock up image to give you a visual so that you can approve any changes.

Customer contact is crucial and we are happy to discuss your requirements even before you place an order.

Our History

In 2018 I decided to set up a company making personalised items, mugs, slates, chopping boards etc.  Whilst sublimation was relatively new to myself, it was the printing of ribbon that became my main interest.  I make a lot of memorial/funeral/celebration ribbons.  If you can say it, print it!

I have also experimented with sew in labels and have had a massive positive reaction/feedback.  I also stock a selection of washable foils (up to 30 degrees) – or hand wash.   These labels can be gifted to a friend or relative that loves making knitted, crochet or sewn items.  I have a larger size ribbon 30mm width for labels to go into bags etc.  The choice is yours and it is unlimited.

Whatsherface comes from the thinking that if you cannot remember somebodies name in a large office and you say ‘you know Whatsherface’, everybody suddenly remembers their name.  To some they are ‘thingumabob’  – that was my explanation.  Below is another explanation 😊😊

“Whatsherface” is an informal term used primarily in the UK and US when you can’t remember or don’t know a woman’s nameIt’s similar to “whatshername” or “whats-her-name” and is often used in spoken EnglishFor example, you might say, “I gave the report to whatsherface” if you can’t recall the assistant’s name. It’s a handy phrase for those moments when a name just slips your mind! 😊

I pride myself on customer service and if I don’t like something then I am not happy to send it out.  All my orders have to be approved before printing as mistakes can be made by mistyping or lost in translation.
